No entity has more influence over health care in Arkansas than the Arkansas Medical Society. If you are ready to take an active role in channeling that influence, consider running for the AMS Board of Trustees.

There are currently 36 District Trustees representing ten geographic areas of the state. Half of those positions are up for election/reelection every year. District Trustees are elected directly by AMS members in their respective districts through a written and online ballot. Voting takes place from February 15 through March 1, 2024. The AMS Board of Trustees meets quarterly for approximately one hour.

Terms are for two years, beginning May 2024, with a limit of four consecutive terms. Elected candidates will be notified after March 1st and should be prepared to participate in the AMS Annual Membership Meeting.

The nomination deadline is February 1, 2024.
