Update on HB1251: Tell Your Senator to vote NO!

HB 1251 (Eubanks) passed out of the full House on March 6 with 70 “yes” votes, 19 “no votes”, and 11 not voting.

What this means now is that HB 1251 will go to the Senate Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee and may be heard as early as Wednesday, March 13 at 10 a.m.

This is what we need you to do…call, text, and email your Senator to ask them to vote NO on HB 1251! (ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE ON THE SENATE PUBLIC HEALTH COMMITTEE as listed below)!

Tell them that the bill as amended still allows optometrists to perform surgery on the eyeball and eyelid.

Senate Committee Members are:

Ronald Caldwell – Wynne
Scott Flippo – Bull Shoals
Kim Hammer – Benton
Bart Hester – Cave Springs
Jimmy Hickey, Jr. – Texarkana
Missy Irvin – Mountain View
Bill Sample – Hot Springs
Dave Wallace – Leachville
