AMS Accepting Applications for Our Fight is Against COVID Mini-Grant Program
Is your clinic providing or wanting to provide the COVID vaccine to your patients, but need a little extra help? The AMS Our Fight Against COVID Mini-Grant Program is a resource to help physicians, their patients, and their communities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be a reimbursement grant program that provides funding to recipients after expenses have been incurred.
“Our communities need support now more than ever,” said David Wroten, Arkansas Medical Society executive vice president. “In this current climate, these mini-grant funds through the Our Fight is Against COVID initiative are designed to support Arkansas physicians and their staff to ensure community members receive the care they need.”
AMS is currently accepting applications through November 30, 2021.
Upon receipt of a grant application, the review process will begin, and a decision will be made within 10 business days. Items for reimbursement must be purchased after the grant approval date. Expenses incurred before the grant application deadline will not be eligible.
Paid invoices and/or receipts of items must be submitted to AMS for reimbursement of funds. The timeline of reimbursement of items is estimated to be within six weeks.
The grant program is part of the Arkansas Medical Society’s efforts to improve COVID- 19 vaccination rates across the state and increase vaccine confidence. AMS received a $1.5 million grant from the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) to implement this
three-year project.
