Arkansas Medicaid Continues Temporary Increase in COVID-19 Vaccination Administration Rate
Based on the continuing Federal Public Health Emergency (PHE), Arkansas Medicaid has authorized a continuation of the temporary increase in the reimbursement rate for the administration of COVID-19 vaccines. This continued temporary increase will be effective through April 15, 2022.
The increase applies to both first (1st) and second (2nd) vaccination administration (if Pfizer or Moderna), or a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccination.
The OVERALL effective dates for the temporary vaccination administration rate increase are:
- Beginning Date: Friday, August 13, 2021
- Ending Date: Friday, April 15, 2022
All requirements, including but not limited to, eligibility, procedure codes, providers, recordkeeping, and claims payment are contained in the DMS COVID-19 Provider Manual.
