Join us on Wednesday, July 20 at 12 p.m. for a one-hour webinar about the No Surprises Act with SVMIC’s Laura Watkins.
The No Surprises Act (NSA) was designed to protect individuals from surprise medical bills. The Act prohibits balance billing in certain circumstances and provides a better understanding of the cost of medical services.
The Act has many intricacies and implementation has been challenging. This session will explore the requirements of the Act for physician practices and will:
- Review the prohibitions on balance billing, notice and consent exceptions, and the independent dispute resolution process.
- Examine the good faith estimate requirements and patient-provider dispute resolution process.
- Discuss the protections for certain continuing care patients and inaccurate provider directory situations.
