Dr. John Wilson Named UALR’s “2013 SpectacUALR Honoree”

Congratulations to long time AMS member, and past-president John L. Wilson, MD for being named the 2013 UALR SpectacULAR Honoree.”

Dr. Wilson spent 38 years at OrthoArkansas until his retirement in 2007. Two years ago, he missed treating patients and began working again at UAMS in orthopedic triage.

Dr. Wilson was also the 2009 AMS Asklepion Award winner and the 1995 recipient of the UALR Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award for Excellence.

The award will be given as part of UALR’s Fifth Annual SpectacUALR, presented by Windstream, and set for Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. Tickets are priced at $75 – $50 of which is tax deductible – and can be purchased by clicking here.

A benefit for Trojan Athletics, SpectacUALR is the largest annual fundraiser at UALR, raising more than $750,000 for UALR student-athletes in the first four years of the event.
