Allergist Added to List of Eligible Providers for Medicaid Enhanced Payments

Due to national advocacy, CMS has clarified that allergists can attest to board certification and receive enhanced payments for a number of E&M codes as well as immunizations under the Medicaid enhanced payment program. The Arkansas Medical Society asked for DHS to review the list of eligible physicians and agreed that allergist should be included in the program. In order to attest, allergists should go to the Medicaid website  and attest to their certification.

Click “Provider” and log in to complete the attestation process. The list of the CPT codes that are included with reimbursement amounts are available. The payments are retroactive to January 1, 2013.
