Workers’ Compensation Rule 30

The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission is seeking a change to Rule 30 that would implement Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) and a Drug Formulary. A public hearing on the proposed rule change is scheduled for 10 a.m. on December 4 in Hearing Room “A” of the Workers’ Compensation Building.  Official Disability Guidelines, developed by the Work Loss Data Institute, are designed to be evidence based and all treatment provided according to the guidelines is “presumed” to be reasonable and necessary without having to obtain prior approval.  Treatment falling outside the guidelines must be preapproved in order to be considered for payment.
