United Health Care Credentialing Delay

As many of you are aware, AMS has received numerous complaints regarding delays in physician credentialing with United Health Care.

Several months ago, executives from UHC were asked to sit down with AMS and attempt to solve the issues. That meeting failed to bring about results and the Arkansas Insurance Department conducted a meeting in December with several representatives from UHC and AMS.

The insurance department asked UHC to submit a corrective plan of action to the department by January 31, 2015. AMS will keep physicians updated on this matter and ask that further issues be reported to Billie Jean Davenport (501-224-8967).
