AMS Member Clinic Receives $170,517 for Healthy Living Campaign
The Delta Regional Authority recently awarded ARcare of East Arkansas $170,517 to further health outcomes through the “Eat Better Move More” Healthy Lifestyle Campaign and the Brinkley Health Center, Wellness Center and Mobile Unit.
This investment is part of the Healthy Workforce Challenge program that has awarded $800,000 to five projects across the region that support healthy living through behavioral change in the workplace. The DRA’s Healthy Workforce Challenge is in conjunction with a $5.4 million grant program through the Health Resources & Services Administration that is funding twelve healthy living projects across the Delta region.

The Delta Regional Authority is a federal-state partnership that is congressionally mandated to help create jobs, build communities, and improve lives in the 252 counties and parishes of the Delta. Through twelve cycles of federal investment, the Authority is helping to create and retain more than 41,000 jobs and has leveraged $2.7 billion in other public and private investment.
