Bradley Bibb, MD, and Glen F. Baker, MD, Among Recognized Leaders in Healthcare at AMS 150-Year Milestone Event
LITTLE ROCK, AR – June 4, 2025 – The Arkansas Medical Society (AMS) commemorated a historic milestone with its 150th Anniversary Event and Annual Meeting, held May 30–31, 2025, at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock. A highlight of the celebration was the installation of Bradley Bibb, MD, of Jonesboro, as 2025–2026 AMS president. Raised in Lake City, Dr. Bibb has 20 years of experience in family medicine. He founded and is currently the CEO of Access Medical Clinic, which operates more than 70 clinics in nine states and serves patients across 150 skilled nursing facilities.
“It’s an honor to accept the presidency on such a momentous occasion,” said Dr. Bibb. Reflecting on the Society’s history of advocacy for physicians and patients, he expressed a desire to continue that work. “I’m reminded of our incredible legacy and the immense responsibility we now bear. I believe everyone in this room shares a common goal: to prevent pain and suffering for our neighbors and provide the best possible care for those who rely on us. That is the guiding principle that should unite us all. Here’s to the next 150 years of progress, innovation, and compassionate care.”
Also honored during the presidential gala was Glen Baker, MD, of Little Rock, recipient of the prestigious AMS Asklepian Award. This award recognizes an AMS member who promotes the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health, embodies the values of the medical profession, and serves the community through dedicated medical practice. Following his retirement, Dr. Baker served as the interim director of the Arkansas Public Health Laboratory, which earned a reputation for excellence under his leadership. In 2022, the APHL building was renamed the Glen F. Baker Public Health Laboratory in his honor.
The event brought together physicians, healthcare leaders, students, and partners from across the state for networking, education, and celebration. Attendees explored over 60 medical exhibits and reviewed more than 100 poster presentations selected from 140 submissions by medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Additional awards recognized advocacy, academic excellence, and lifetime contributions to the field of medicine in Arkansas.
