Countdown: 14 Days Until Federal Deadline for CMV Certification

imagesBeginning May 21, 2014, you must be certified and listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners to perform physical examinations for CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) drivers.

What If I Miss the Deadline?

Training and testing can occur after the deadline. However, if you are not certified by May 21, you cannot conduct CMV exams until you have been certified.

Whether before or after the deadline, the Arkansas Medical Society (AMS) is prepared to assist you in the certification process. We are a registered NRCME training provider for health care professionals seeking to be listed on the National Registry website. AMS’s online training course is designed to meet the core curriculum requirements for medical examiners according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Through the use of a pre-test, post-test and case scenarios, this training will prepare and qualify you to take the NRCME certification exam. The course has been highly rated, and participants are realizing an average increase of 33% from their pre-test to post-test scores! The NRCME certification exam is administered by a separate FMCSA-approved testing organization in your state.

This training can be completed with no travel, no classroom time, no time away from work or home. Designed for busy health care professionals, our course is 100% online and available to you for 6 months from date of registration.
