CPCI Clinics Selected for Participation

Applications for the Coordinated Primary Care Initiative (CPCI) have been processed and the physicians that have been selected for the pilot project were announced August 22, 2012. Arkansas was among the seven geographical areas targeted for participation. Primary Care Physicians were asked to go through an application process that included a commitment to provide specific practice qualifiers. The CPCI is a medical home-like pilot involving Medicare, Medicaid, ABCBS and Qualchoice. Physicians included in the project will be paid a monthly fee per patient ($20 average for Medicare, less for the others), based in part on the patient’s health status, to implement a set of care coordination and disease management concepts.
