Dealing with Drug-Seeking Patients
We are very excited about the November issue of the Journal that will be hitting mailboxes in the next few days. The Journal talked with member physicians about the drain of time and resources that patients can cause when they exhibit “drug seeking” behaviors. You can read “Dealing with Drug-Seeking Patients” article and the rest of the November issue here.
This article launches our new series “Opioid Tales – Games Patients Pay.” The series will afford you a space to anonymously share your experiences. We hope this will decrease your associated stress and help your colleagues who are dealing with similar challenges.
By educating physicians, medical students, and other health professionals through your experiences, we hope also to help eliminate drug diversion and unnecessary prescriptions.
Submit your stories to lhaywood@arkmed.org for possible inclusion in future editions of The Journal. (Stories will be relayed anonymously to protect all parties involved.)
