Jonesboro Hospital Honors AMS Member with Memorial Dedication
Dr. Micheal Hong practiced as an OBGYN at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital for over 17 years and served as a member of the Arkansas Medical Society for 15 years. In honor of his dedication and extraordinary patient care, over 100 of his friends, colleagues and family members gathered recently to dedicate a wing of the NEA Women’s Center in his name.
Dr. Hong, who passed away in May, was known by all for his strong commitment to his work even after being diagnosed with cancer. He was appreciated by patients, administrators and colleges alike for going above and beyond what was expected in patient care.
A charity in his name also collected $90,000. The program, “ShareHope,” offers support and resources to families who lose a baby during pregnancy or shortly after.
Dr. Hong’s widow, Connie, shared a Bible verse at the dedication that she said encapsulated her husband’s legacy.
“And now these three remain; faith hope and love. But the greatest of these is love,” she said. “This is what is work here was and what has continued: love.”
