Six Counties in South Arkansas will Benefit from Investment in Healthcare

DUMAS, Ark. – The Delta Regional Authority will announce today (December 3) an investment of $175,000 for healthcare training at the Delta Technology/Education Center (DTEC) in Dumas. This crucial training program will be provided by the Greater Alliance for Health in areas including insurance education, safety training and medical ethics. Following this program, DTEC will be able to offer their own training courses in Dumas, providing healthcare workers in Desha, Bradley, Drew, Lincoln, Ashley, and Arkansas counties a closer training location, as well as creating a sustainable income for DTEC.

The Delta Regional Authority is a federal-state partnership that is congressionally mandated to help create jobs, build communities, and improve lives in the 252 counties and parishes of the Delta. Through 12 cycles of federal investment, the Authority is helping to create and retain more than 41,000 jobs and has leveraged $2.7 billion in other public and private investment.
